If you love to travel, you will definitely not want to miss this travel and vacation-centered event.
Presented by AAA, the Great Vacations Travel EXPO is coming to the Greater Columbus Convention Center from Jan. 22-24. It will allow guests to meet and get some expert advice from experts from some of the world’s best travel suppliers, and to take home some great discounted deals on cruises and vacations.
The AAA Travel Stage at the event will feature plenty of live entertainment, presentations, activities and workshops, led by travel experts and well-known celebrities, that guests can take part in and learn from.
The show will have different zones that highlight regional destinations, allowing visitors to find vacation that suit them best in a quick and easy manner.
The EXPO will also feature several special attractions, including the Paradise Pavilion, which
offers unique deals and information on vacations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean; the Vacation Marketplace, which features hundreds of the top travel destinations in the world; and the Lake Erie Shores & Islands feature area, which underlines destinations such as Put-in-Bay, Cedar Point and beach escapes close to home.
In addition, the event will have the AAA Explore Store, where guests can search and find maps, guidebooks, brochures, travel gear and other traveling necessities, and the Great Outdoors presented by Franklin County Metro Parks, where guests can become inspired from the large, living landscape.
Travelers are encouraged to be ready to book a vacation or cruise on the spot, as it is recommended that all guests bring a calendar and a form of payment.
Hours for the Great Vacations Travel EXPO are from noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22.
Tickets for adults are $8, but AAA card holders who show their card can receive 50 percent off admission. Children 16 and under are admitted free of charge. Tickets can be purchased at the door, at any AAA Ohio Auto Club store or online.
