Teen Contemporary Art Intensive

A one-day intensive for students ages 13 - 18 who want to learn about contemporary art from our current exhibition, Open This End: Contemporary Art from the Collection of Blake Byrne. From paintings to performance art, our education team will lead students in a discovery and discussion based workshop that examines the ideas of self identity through major contemporary art works fromOpen This End. Students will also have the opportunity to create their own artworks reflecting on the show, and on their own self identity. This program will encourage teens of all artistic backgrounds and abilities to engage with contemporary art outside of a classroom setting, and allow them to collaborate and share with peers what makes them who they are, and how they express that identity.
