As the temperatures drop and the school season kicks into gear, only a Jazz legend like Herbie Hancock could pull people out of their premature winter blues as the McCoy Center’s new season emerges out of its summer hibernation in an incredible fashion on Oct. 8.
And less than two weeks later, on Oct. 20, Buddy Guy will be performing. The 76-year old Blues pioneer is known for an unusual and lively on-stage performance, where he uses drumsticks to play his guitar as well as causally walking into the stands for his solo performances.
Accompanying him is Quinn Sullivan, a 14-year old guitar phenom who achieved popularity since he first played on national television at the age of six.
On Jan. 16, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famers The Temptations bring their award-winning R&B vocals and foot-tapping instrumentals to the McCoy stage.
On Feb. 13, two-time Grammy award winning trumpeter Chris Botti comes to the stage in a performance sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.
To end the season on the highest of notes, The Fab Four brings their signature and uncanny Beatles resemblances to the star-crossed McCoy stage on Mar. 8, playing all the nostalgic favorites that The real Beatles were known for.
All performances start at 8 p.m.
