Looking for a spooky way to celebrate Halloween? This October, A Portable Theatre presents Tales from the Grave, an adaptation of scary stories that will send shivers down your spine and chill your blood.

The tales, including stories by Poe, Dickens, and Stevenson, will be delivered as an old-fashioned radio broadcast in front of a live studio audience, complete with sound effects and commercials.
Equity Actors Jonathan Putnam, Jon Farris, Ed Vaughan and Damian Bowerman deliver the tales, which were adapted and directed by Geoffrey Nelson.
A Portable Theatre is a local non-profit theatre company that uses professional actors, directors, dramaturges, designers, and stage managers to deliver powerful performances in a variety of non-theatrical spaces. Each performance is followed by a brief question and answer with the artists in order to highlight the play’s underlying ideas and give audiences a chance to understand the artists’ choices and processes.
Performances are:
8 p.m., Oct. 15 at the Clintonville Woman's Club
8 p.m., Oct. 16-17 at the Abbey Theater of Dublin
3 p.m., Oct. 18 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church
8 p.m., Oct. 29-31 at the Columbus Dance Theatre
The show is suitable for ages 10 and up. Tickets are $20 for general audiences and $10 for students. To reserve tickets, visit www.aportabletheatre.com
