This spring, Columbus’ Nationwide Arena will welcome English classic rock outfit The Who for a milestone celebration.
The Who takes their 50th anniversary tour to Columbus on May 15, beginning its 20-stop run of the North American leg of “The Who Hits 50!” in Tampa, Fla. On April 15.
The tour, which kicked off in Glasgow, Scotland, features a wide range of songs are game for the set list, including songs from classic albums like Who’s Next, – an album boasting hits like “Baba O’Riley,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” and “Behind Blue Eyes” – and Quadrophenia, among others.
Special guests on the tour include Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. An innovator and music visionary in her own right, Jett is the leader of a band with eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 Singles, including “Bad Reputation” and “I Hate Myself For Loving You.” She also heads her own independent label, Blackheart Records and has appeared in movies and on television, while also performing in the Tony-nominated Broadway musical The Rocky Horror Show.
