The 2015 Franklin County fair, held July 18-25 on the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, will feature a variety of musical attractions, tractor pulls and exhibits from the Columbus College of Art and Design and Central Ohio Beekeepers.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. each day, and daily admission is $6 and includes parking, performances and attractions.
Saturday will be Farm Day at the fair, and will include a kiddie tractor ull by Central Ohio Young Farmers and a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight in the evening.
The following day will feature a variety of musical performances including musical groups
Cornerstone Gospel; The Rock featuring Blaze Johnson (Columbus’ own contestant from the television series The Voice); Cincinnati country and folk trio The Bundy’s; and former members of Death by Banjo, Paul Brown and Tim Zinser.
Monday will feature a performance by singer and songwriter Chris Logsdon as well as harness racing, and Tuesday will include a hot air balloon launch by the Central Ohio Balloon Club and a tractor pull by the Ohio State Antique Tractor Pullers Association.
On Wednesday there will be a Chili contest put on by Franklin County Engineer, followed by a 4-H Horse Royalty Contest and a Buckeye Horse Pullers Association of Ohio event in the evening.
Thursday will feature a pie contest and an auction of creative baking, as well as a truck pull by Central Ohio Truck Pull Circuit.
The next day there will be a Ladies’ Skillet Toss contest and a truck and tractor pull regional national event by the National Tractor Pullers Association.
The last day of the fair will be Celebration of Food Day, and will begin with Franklin County Agricultural Society Elections. The finale of events will also include a pie eating contest, professional boxing and a demolition derby by Smash It.
