Celebrate American ingenuity and phenomenal cuisine on August 12 and 13 with the sixth annual Columbus Food Truck Festival. For two days, the Columbus Commons will be jam-packed with more than 65 of the most notable mobile cuisine vendors in the state.
Among the food vendors are Ninja Bowl, Go Cupcake, The Burrito Bus, Hot Chicken Takeover, Boston Bert’s Seafood, Daredevil Dogs, Mikey’s Late Night Slice and the list goes on. There will be food varieties to satisfy any taste buds, cravings and diets.
Moreover, the festival isn’t limited to mouthwatering cuisine. There will be an arts and crafts center, areas to pick up unique gifts and live music.
The musicians rolling into Columbus include: DJ/MC Matty Sexton, Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons, Mr. Fahrenheit and the Lover Boys!, The Winnie Cooper Project, Doc Robinson, Introspect, Anna & the Consequences and many more.
On August 12 from noon to 5 p.m. is Kid’s Day at the Festival, which features an assortment of activities such as bounce houses, friends from the Columbus Crew SC, the Columbus Blue Jackets and more.
The Food Truck Festival also hopes to emphasize a growing element of philanthropy by supporting two major non-profit organizations; Music Loves Ohio, an organization that offers music education to children, and Cornerstone of Hope, an organization that provides resources and counseling for families encountering loss.
The festival launches at noon on August 12 and will close shop at 10 p.m. If you arrive before 6 p.m. on Friday, admission is free. Otherwise, evening admission is $5 per person. Children 10 and under are free regardless of the time of day. On August 13, the festival runs from noon until 10 p.m.; admission is free until 5 p.m. Evening admission on August 13 is $5.
