The Shamrock Club of Columbus’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off from Nationwide and John H. McConnell boulevards at 11:30, proceeding from there to Franklin County Veterans Memorial. The club’s Irish Family Reunion follows the parade at Veterans Memorial. http://www.shamrockclubofcolumbus.org

5. BalletMet and Columbus Symphony Orchestra present The Rite of Spring (March 22-24)

The ballet and the symphony join forces to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Stravinsky’s then-controversial The Rite of Spring. Also on the bill are a piece choreographed by BalletMet’s Jimmy Orrante set to Ravel’s Rapsodie Espagnole and a performance of Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. http://www.balletmet.org
