The Dublin Community Recreation Center is turning 20 this year. The Rec Center will celebrate the anniversary with a series of events centered on member appreciation.
Since its inception, the Dublin Rec Center has prided itself on its continual evolution and improvements, and this year will be no different. This year, the Rec Center plans to replace the roof, resurface the gym floor and enhance the indoor pool. Members will have access to free special events, and in honor of members’ dedication to the Rec Center, certain class prices will be discounted.
The Dublin Community Recreation Center first opened in July 1996. Later, in February 2000, the second phase of the Rec Center was opened. Phase II brought new improvements and additions to the Center. These additions were the Abbey Theater, a community hall, classrooms for fitness classes and lounges specifically for teens and seniors. The DCRC has been recognized nationally for its design and programming and more may be to come for the Center due to new additions and updates.
