Grab your combs and your leather jackets and get ready for a trip to Rydell High with the Columbus Children's Theatre's production of Grease, the ever-popular musical of high school life in the late 1950's that has proved its worth with eight years on Broadway and two subsequent revivals.
The show will open at 7:30 p.m. July 30 and run through Aug. 16 at the Park Street Theater, located at 512 Park St.
The production will be put on by the 2015 Summer Pre-Professional Company, a division of the Columbus Children's Theatre, which is composed of actors ages 16-22 who are looking to enter the sphere of professional theater. Grease will be directed by David Baghat, who is returning to the Summer Pre-Professional Company for his second year as director after his direction of the company's wildly successful production of Hairspray last year.
Grease is put on with the help of producing sponsor Macy's, as well as the Columbus Children's Theatre's season sponsors, including the Greater Columbus Arts Council, The Columbus Foundation, the Ohio Arts Council and several others.
Tickets are $15. For more details or to purchase tickets, visit www.columbuschildrenstheatre.org.
