Opera Columbus presents timeless classic The Marriage of Figaro this March. The opera, named among the top ten most-performed operas worldwide by website Operabase, will debut March 4 at 7:30 p.m. for the preview performance with later show times on March 6 at 8 p.m. and March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Southern Theatre.

This four-act comedy stars Columbus native Adam Cioffari as lead role Figaro while also featuring the conducting debut of former Columbus resident Jason Hiester. Opera Columbus has teamed with designer Eric Barker as well as Toronto-based director Michael Mori. The Marriage of Figaro continues the plot of The Barber of Seville and gives audience a dynamic performance of scheming love pursuits and chaos. The hilarity that ensues is what has kept The Marriage of Figaro an audience favorite since its 1786 debut.

Regular tickets are $25-$88 for normal show times or $13-$33 for the preview performance, and those under 25 can purchase tickets for $5. Tickets are available through the CAPA Ticket Center, all Ticketmaster locations, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 614-469-0939 and 800-745-3000.
