Deer Creek State Park Lodge in nearby Mount Sterling will host an Ohio Wines Weekend April 9-10, 2010. The weekend event is a partnership with Ohio Wine Producers Association and Deer Creek State Park Lodge. It will feature a variety of opportunities to learn about, discuss and sample Ohio wines and fine cuisine.

The weekend kicks off Friday, April 9 with a welcome reception and wine tasting. Events Saturday, April 10 include a late-morning cooking demonstration by Deer Creek executive chef Ben Theis, late-afternoon wine seminar about training the palate, early-evening Ohio wine grand tasting and a gourmet dinner banquet featuring four Ohio dinner wines and one dessert wine. The weekend concludes on Sunday with a breakfast buffet.

The Ohio Wines Weekend package includes all of the events for two people plus two nights of lodging. Rates begin at $185 per person based on double occupancy.
