Bloodthirsty
Bestselling author Christopher Moore plans Columbus visit

It's no April Fool’s joke that the undead will rise again with the April 1 release of Christopher Moore’s Bite Me: A Love Story, the third book in his farcical vampire trilogy that began with Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck. Thurber House Evenings with Authors will present Moore’s event on the same day Bite Me hits the bookstands, April 1, at the Columbus Performing Arts Center, 549 Franklin Ave., at 7:30 p.m.

Moore’s latest bloodsucker continues to chronicle the young, urban Nosferatu-style love of Jody and Tommy, along with their Goth Girl Friday, Abby Normal. The story is set in San Francisco where Abby and her fiend friends join forces to save the city from a vampire cat named Chet, who keeps growing bigger, smarter and thirstier.

Moore is the author of 12 books, including the international bestsellers Lamb, A Dirty Job and You Suck. Born in Toledo, he grew up in Mansfield and attended The Ohio State University. He published his first novel in 1992, Practical Demonkeeping, but prior to that, worked as a roofer, grocery clerk, waiter and rock and roll DJ, to name a few. According to Moore, his varied work experience has provided him with a valuable resource for developing the characters portrayed in his novels.

Following the reading, Moore will take questions, chat with the audience about his writing and sign books that will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 614-464-1032 or visit www.thurberhouse.org.
