The North Market Ohio Wine Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary starting July 8 and running through July 10. The festival will showcase 20 wineries from all over Ohio. The wineries will offers wines by 1 oz. taste, 4 oz. glass, bottle or case.
Live music will be performed throughout the festival, including acts like DJ Patrick, The Ramblers, Accordion Van Dan and The Grateful Lovers. The festival will also feature North Market’s the “Original” Farmer’s Market on Saturday and Peddler’s Picnic on Sunday.
Guests can visit the Kent State Viniculture and Enology Tent, where they will learn the ins and outs of wine tasting and play a game to test their wine senses. Guests can also sample dairy-free treats from So Delicious Dairy Free and take pictures in their photo booth.
Single-day general admission tickets are available for $30 at the door. A VIP All Weekend Pass is available for $40. This will allow access to all three days of the festival as well as early entry on Friday before the festival opens to regular ticketholders.
Admissions will include a souvenir glass on first come first serve basis and a North Market Fiver, a $5 voucher that can be used at any North Market Merchant. Admissions will also contain 10 free tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be available for 50 cents apiece.
Designated drivers or guests who do not drink get into the festival for free. Because of this, sharing is not permitted. However, these guests are free to enjoy the festival’s music and samples from So Delicious Dairy Free.
The North Market Ohio Wine Festival begins Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. for guests with the VIP Pass) and will continue all weekend. On Saturday the Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sunday it will begin at noon and the festival comes to an end at 5 p.m.
