Winter’s cold may seem relentless, but luckily there are ways to create warm memories. Experience the best home-style cuisine that Hocking Hills has to offer with the third annual Comfort Food Cruise.
Taking place Jan. 23-24, Jan. 30-31 and Feb. 6-7, visitors have six days to taste dishes from

12 different locations. Explorers may also take the opportunity to hike through the woods and see sites such as Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Rock House and Conkle’s Hollow. Along the way, one may admire cave walls covered with ice beards and waterfalls frozen in suspended animation.
Patrons should be sure to start the cruise the right way. The Hocking Hill Regional Welcome Center will be serving coffee and mini cinnamon rolls from 8 a.m. till 12 noon. Also, be sure to visit the world’s only Pencil Sharpener museum and pick up your free Comfort Food Cruise souvenir. The area has plenty of activities and meals for individuals and families.
Tickets for the event are $18 per person, with $5 of every ticket benefiting local food pantries. Tickets are valid any of the three weekends, but most people finish the cruise in one.
